A quick post as that suitcase is closer to being empty than ready and I'm flying out tonight!
Always been a last minute, stuff everything into my suitcase and sit on it, over-packer even though I do aim to try to pack smarter and organize outfits.. I forget all those good ideas when it's time to get down to the business of folding and stuffing.
I can't wait to get to London! April's been pretty good to me so far, first my birthday and then my little sister coming back home for Easter.. and now Vogue Fashion Festival! It's my first trip back since I moved home from London before Christmas, and I've missed it.. A LOT.

One of my favourite ways to wear colour, but sometimes a little tricky. I've always been an advocate of mixing colours, prints and textures as long as it doesn't end up looking like a parade float.. Keep the lines simple and classic!
An amazing example of colour blocking done right is the above picture. Want a similar look? Well, looky looky, here's a how-to (complete with links to everything!) - The Colour Blocking Edition!

...and the lesson we learn from this? Fashion, like history, repeats itself.
Let's start with a basic peplum, a simple white top; the base of so many possible looks.

Found this graffiti when out for lunch one day, and had to take some pictures, love the contrast of the bright colours with my pastel dress. Oh, and how amazing are these vintage Etienne Aigner shoes? I found them vintage shopping in London's Brick Lane a few months ago for something like £20! All I did was take them to a cobbler (aka shoe doctor) when I was back home for a buff and polish, and they were good to go!

I've always had the weirdest, most vivid dreams that were more like a strange mix of fashion magazine meets action/adventure movie. This morning I woke up and my first thought was "She stole my Christopher Kane clutch and I hadn't worn it yet!" ...... I don't own a Christopher Kane clutch. But now I'm kinda thinking, I should.
Voilà, my dream clutch. Literally.

Another 4th of April, the big two-three! Doesn't sound as impressive as anything ending with an 'oh', but 'oh' well..
Me being the epitome of cheesiness, my mani/pedi nail polish choice yesterday was Chanel's April.. which I proudly/loudly announced to everyone in close proximity: "April! 'Cause it's April! ..And my birthday! Get it??" Yeah, I'm still as annoying at 23.
A huge birthday brunch, followed by an even bigger slice of red velvet cake was the perfect start to my day.
Even better than cake for breakfast? A surprise from the parents before heading out to my birthday dinner.

Oh don't mind me.. Just dying over these 3.1 Phillip Lim Cody d'Orsay Heels. I can't even pick a favourite, both are ticking all the right S/S boxes! I would probably go for the silver ones though, just because I've been looking for a the perfect pair of silver shoes and these are pretty close to perfect..
