Still a little pricey, but so much easier to save up for and still extremely gorgeous Brian Atwood shoes! Very much in love with the asymmetrical metallic leather sandals, and the metallic peep toe booties.. Oh, and how amazing are the feathers?
So here's my Versace for H&M haul! Sadly even though I was in the first 80 people to get there, I couldn't get my hands on most of the things I wanted.. most importantly the studded black leather dress! I wanted a few items from the menswear collection too but surprisingly that sold out even faster than the womanswear! Probably because it was open to everyone and you didn't have to queue..
I wasn't planning on getting the black skirt, but I ended up grabbing it in frustration when I saw that most of what I wanted had already sold out. I love the fringe dress and skirt, the skirt comes with a matching top but I didn't really like the cut, so I doubt I'd wear it.
When I was looking at the full Versace for H&M lookbook before the collection came out, I fell in love with what I thought were belts. I double checked the day before the launch and saw that they were actually necklaces! So disappointing, they would have made amazing belts..
I lived in Brisbane, Australia for almost three years and it was there that my love for fashion evolved. Australians have amazing personal style that is quite unique to them, and I found so many Australian labels that I couldn't help but fall in love with! One of the things I miss the most about living in Australia has to be one of my favourite stores - Sportsgirl. I usually popped into one of their stores at least 5 times a week, even if it was just to surround myself with their clothes and the happy feeling I got when I stepped in there. One of the great things about Sportsgirl was all the collaborations they did with young Aussie designers. I still wear my amazing Sportsgirl Likes Minty Meets Munt velvet leggings. Their newest collaboration (just launched yesterday) is with another of my loved Australian brands, the young Sydney based label - Miss Unkon. The collection is aptly named 'Girls Who Love' and features 7 styles with names that reflect the whimsy of the collection. Love, youth, freedom, coming of age, passion and dreams.
Read the interview with the designer behind the brand, Courtney Meyer, on Sportsgirls blog, and shop the collection here!
Keeping with my last post, here's Net-a-porters latest Behind the Seams Interview, with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. The Olsens discuss one of their lines - The Row, their inspirations and design outlook for the brand along with their personal style and the perfect white t-shirt!
In another gorgeous collaboration, Ileana Makri for The Row has given us a jewellery line that's hard to get off your mind.. And with these prices that's where it'll probably stay, on my mind. But there's no harm in looking (obsessively!)..
The line includes cufflinks, rings, bracelets and necklaces featuring white and pink gold, coloured diamonds and sapphires. All pieces are hand-made when ordered!
This ring is my favourite piece in the collection, the details and the diamonds are stunning.
The entire collection can be found on The Row's website.
This post is long over-due as I've been going through my iPhone pictures and noticed so much that I haven't posted!
i-D magazine is one of my favourites, so I had to have a long look around Red Gallery in East London, the hosts of the 'i-D Now' retrospective celebrating i-D's 30+ years in the business. It was amazing being in the middle of so much history, with every single cover from the last thirty years telling a story with the signature i-D wink.
